Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee projects involving the replacement and repair of mechanical equipment, energy optimization through controls and equipment upgrades, lighting replacements on K-12 and higher education campuses, and general construction on building seams, windows, and seals. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, be adept at leading teams, and have a keen eye for quality control.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and track project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors, engineers, and laborers.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure high performance and adherence to project goals.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years experience as a construction Project Manager with General Contractor (GC) or Construction Manager (CM).
- Mechanical controls experience is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements on active job sites (5 years).
- Experience and understanding of mechanical systems, both underground and above ground, with a focus on boilers and chillers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CM or engineering degree is highly preferred.
- Experience with mechanical construction and ESCO projects.
- Ability to manage Requests for Information (RFI) and change orders.
Work Environment
Most work will be done in an office setting (Olathe, KS), though some travel may be required. The role involves working with various construction technologies and equipment, and adherence to safety protocols on active jobsites is essential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
