Part-Time Dentist Opportunity - Family Health Center, Neptune, NJ The Family Health Center in Neptune, NJ is seeking a part-time attending dentist to join our team! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside dental residents, providing Chairside teaching, diagnostics, and patient care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities: Provide chairside mentorship and teaching to dental residents. Diagnose and treat patients, including performing routine cleanings and preventative procedures. Develop and implement patient treatment plans. Perform a range of dental procedures, including extractions, root canals, implants, fillings, and oral surgery. Address bite issues and overcrowding. Apply dental sealants and whiteners. Prescribe medications as needed (e.g., pain relievers, antibiotics). Administer sedatives or anesthesia as required. Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, models). Maintain accurate patient records, documenting oral health and treatments provided. Collaborate effectively with other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Supervise dental residents Other duties as assigned. Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Qualifications: DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental program. Successful completion of the National Board Dental Examination and relevant state or regional clinical examination. Five or more years of experience in an academic dental program. Familiarity with Commission on Dental Accreditation standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
