Dental care is available to anyone, regardless of insurance, as are other health services provided by Community Health Centers. A sliding fee scale allows people to pay what they can afford. Access to dental care is important to good health. By focusing on preventive oral health care, complications can be avoided, especially for people with chronic health conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease. This approach also means less "chair time" for patients.
Adult dental services has a new permanent space, including exam rooms, lab and X-ray services, as well as staff and equipment to provide preventative and restorative oral health. This comes as part of the recent remodel of the Benton Health Services Building.
The new office supports the dental van, school-based and community dental services available through Community Health Centers. The expansion creates greater access and shorter wait times for adult dental services, and provides convenience and continuity of care by sharing other health services.
Children and teens will continue to receive dental services at the Johnson Dental Clinic inside the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis.
The Community Health Centers of Benton & Linn Counties provides dental coordination for community based outreach, screening, prevention, and oral health education services.
