Family Health Center is a nonprofit whose mission is to ensure that all members of our community have access to quality, comprehensive, patient-centered health care. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we serve the underserved patients in Kalamazoo County.

With 7 locations in Kalamazoo and its surrounding cities, Family Health Center is one of the fastest growing primary care organizations in Southwest Michigan.

We have a brand new, state-of-the-art facility on Alcott Street in Kalamazoo, which has moved toward an integrated healthcare model. The providers at our Alcott location are able to treat patients’ medical, dental and behavioral health needs all in one visit. This locations has 25 dental chairs, making it the largest dental program at any Federally Qualified Health Center in Michigan.

Our Board Certified physicians are specialists in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology and Dental. Our mid-level providers allow us to accommodate acute and same-day appointments to avoid overuse of emergency rooms in the Kalamazoo County.

The Western Michigan University Homer Stryker Medical School's residency program is the first Family Medicine residency program to be on-site at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Michigan. This presents an opportunity for our providers to practice their craft while also teaching residents and continuing research.

The schools in Kalamazoo are host to the Kalamazoo Promise, the only scholarship of its kind. The program provides resident graduates of the Kalamazoo Public Schools with up to 100 percent of their tuition and mandatory fees for four years at Michigan's universities and community colleges.
