Job Summary:

Dr. Reid, our team and our patients are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join the dental practice. Our practice is growing, and the need is very evident that we need two hygienists. If you are the ideal candidate, you would be responsible for seeing patients who have already been established within our practice for recalls and new patients. We are looking for a hygienist who is great at communication and loves developing long term relationships with patients. If you are the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for providing scaling and root planning, gingivitis treatment and prophylaxis treatment on children and adults. This role requires a strong understanding of infection control protocols, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Have an understanding of periodontal disease and diagnosis
• Diagnose alongside with Dr. Reid for the best patient care
• Conduct thorough dental hygiene services of all ranges for all ages
• Assess patients' oral health and provide education on proper oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate and detailed hygiene records using our Eaglesoft software
• Implement infection control procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient care and office efficiency
• Stay updated on the latest dental technologies and practices to enhance patient outcomes

You will be provided with a shared hygiene assistant, however, at times you may be required to clean and sanitize your operatory, clean instruments, take digital x-rays, take vital signs, perio chart on your own, etc.

Benefits

• Negotiable hourly pay or percentage of production.
  • Hourly rate: starting at a range between $37-47 (based on experience, certification and need for additional training)
  • Percentage would be 30% of production (huge room for growth here- you do more, you make more!)
  • Base, minimal daily pay rate for the first 6 months as we are still building a schedule for you (this means that you will not be penalized if you do not have a full scheduled day, after six months this ends)
• Hours are also negotiable. I need full time; however, I will work within an hourly range of 24-32 hours weekly.
  • I will make my team available for the schedule you would like -- meaning if you would like earlier mornings or some evening shifts, please let me know.
• Sign on bonus or relocation bonus will be offered.
• New hygiene instruments built into a growth program.
• Yearly bonus guaranteed. Eligibility for yearly raise based on performance.
• Licensure renewal fee’s paid for. CE paid for. CPR training paid for. Additional certifications required will be paid for.

• You will have an assistant working for you and a scheduling coordinator to help with scheduling and insurance questions.
• Preferably one year contract signed.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and best practices in dental hygiene
• Yearly continuing education courses at times requested specifically by Dr. Reid
