Pedo Dental Assistant

 W are looking for a skilled, well-organized pediatric dental assistant with great attention to detail and enjoys working with children. This dental assistant position will provide direct and indirect patient care services for TLC Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics.   Compensation is negotiable during the interview and will be based experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in the dental office.
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups.
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Able to efficiently perform four-handed dentistry.
• Able to properly chart dental dentition (treatment planning).
• Able to take digital diagnostic x-rays.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keep the dental operatories clean and well-stocked.

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to complete procedures for hygiene and operative appointments
• Computer skills and knowledge in Electronic Health Records
• Strong communication skills to accurately deliver necessary information to dentists, patient, parent/guardian and other staff
• Attention to detail, well-organized and reliable
• Ability to assist with preventive, therapeutic and surgical clinical procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

Full-time

Expected hours: 30 – 37 per week
